Last night’s masterclass left me feeling deeply inspired and more aligned with my purpose than ever before. One of the biggest takeaways for me was the reminder to expand my list of gratitude.
Gratitude has always been a part of my healing and growth, but hearing the stories shared and seeing the spark in others reminded me of the power of writing things down, not just the significant milestones, but also the small, everyday blessings. Each item becomes part of our story.
The reasons listed above are why I feel called to focus on Legacy Journaling. It’s not just about recording memories; it’s about weaving mindfulness, journaling, and photography into a creative outlet that captures both the beauty of ordinary days and the lessons we want to leave behind.
Legacy Journaling invites us to slow down, reflect, and create something meaningful, not only for ourselves but also for the people who will one day look back and see the story of our lives through our eyes.
Last night also reminded me of a question I often get asked: how Legacy Journaling differs from scrapbooking. Scrapbooking, while beautiful, typically centers on decoration, embellishment, and preserving photos in a visually appealing manner.
Legacy Journaling, on the other hand, goes deeper. It’s about the why behind the photo, the memory, or the moment. It’s about pairing words with images to create context, emotion, and meaning. It’s less about design and more about intention—capturing gratitude, values, and reflections that might otherwise be left unspoken.
For me, Legacy Journaling is where creativity meets purpose. It’s where I find clarity, joy, and peace, and it’s the practice I want to continue sharing with others. Last night’s masterclass reminded me that this work isn’t just about creating journals; it’s about empowering people to honour their stories, celebrate their resilience, and pass on something lasting.
As I sit with these reflections today, my gratitude list has grown a little longer, and my heart feels a little fuller. Legacy Journaling truly is a gift, and I am so thankful to be on this journey of capturing life’s moments in a way that will ripple far beyond today.
