Day Six: Writing = Healing

Updated: Jun 19

ree

Sometimes, I struggle to find the words to express myself out loud.

But when I write, it’s as if a dam breaks—words pour out of me in a rush.

The thoughts that once clouded my mind becomes clear, laid bare for all to see.

Writing is my therapy—the kind I deeply need.

Though I’ve had, and needed, counsellors in my journey toward self-acceptance, self-love, and compassion after my stroke, there’s something uniquely powerful about writing that holds me captive.

It's the chance to express myself through words, which is irreplaceable.

Whether it's thoughts on paper or words on a screen, the format doesn't matter.

What matters is the act itself—transferring thoughts from your mind into a physical form where you can see them, shape them, and make them your own.

There’s real power in that. And for that, I am grateful.
